2. PEDAGOGICAL CONTENTS
2.1 Teaching Methods
First observation that I do is on October 2, 2024 in class 2G. The subject that was being held at that time was Mathematics regarding "Additional with a Sum of 10" delivered by Ms. Tran Thi Bich Nhi. The following are the learning steps that are carried out during the teaching and learning process:
· Before learning begins, the teacher asks questions about problems in mathematics and conducts a short question-and-answer discussion with the students
· The teacher sings a song where the song leads the child to form a group
· After the students are in groups, the teacher gives them a mini whiteboard and some blocks
· Students can discuss with their group to determine what number produces the number 10
· As students do their assignments, teachers monitor the work of each group
· After the work time is completed, the teacher assigns a group to show the results of the answers and the teacher discusses the results in front of the class
· Next, the teacher asks students to work on the evaluation questions contained in their respective package books and discuss the questions together.
Then, the second observation that I do is
on October 4, 2024 in class 1R. The subject is about unity by Ms. Kim Thoa. The
following are the learning steps that are carried out during the teaching and
learning process:
· At
the beginning of the lesson, the teacher shows the media in the form of
chopsticks
· The
teacher begins learning by providing problems; The teacher gives each student a
chopstick and the teacher asks them to try to break one of the chopsticks.
· Based
on the activity of breaking chopsticks, the teacher begins to guide the
activities carried out with learning, namely if one chopstick is broken, it
will be very easy to break. This is related to real life, namely if a person
only stands alone without the help of others and then he gets into trouble, his
life will be difficult or can be destroyed like broken chopsticks.
· Then,
the teacher also gave another example, namely the teacher holding 5 chopsticks
and trying to break them but the chopsticks were difficult to break. This shows
that if we live together, whatever the problem is, it will definitely be
difficult to destroy because in principle we live together.
· After
organizing the training, the teacher invites students to form groups using
singing and asks students to discuss unity.
·
When
students are discussing, the teacher circles the classroom to monitor the
students.
· After the discussion session is over, the teacher asks the group representative to express his opinion and of course the teacher analyzes and evaluates the results of the discussion of the students.
Based on the results of my observations,
the learning method used is Problem Based Learning. During the process of
teaching and learning activities, the teacher gives students a problem and asks
students to solve the problem. However, the learning process in the classroom
goes well because the teacher often pays attention to students and during the
learning process there is media used so that students do not feel bored while
studying in class.
2.2 Learning Material and Innovation
Learning
media at Future Integrated School plays an important role in improving the
quality of the teaching and learning process. One example is the use of
television, which not only presents material visually, but also makes
information more interesting and easier for students to understand. In
addition, the uniquely designed whiteboard allows teachers to convey
information in a more interactive way, so that students are more involved in
learning.
Innovation
in learning media at this school is clearly visible when teachers explain the
material. By utilizing various modern tools and technologies, such as
multimedia presentations and educational applications, teachers can present
information in a more creative and interesting way. This not only makes students
more enthusiastic, but also helps them understand difficult concepts better.
Thus, the combination of diverse media and innovative approaches to teaching
make the learning experience at Future Integrated School more effective and
enjoyable.
2.3 Source of Learning and Technology
The learning resources and technology used by teachers during teaching and learning activities are very diverse and can increase the effectiveness of learning. Textbooks are the main reference for students in understanding the subject matter, while physical media such as a unique whiteboard at the front of the class and mini blocks function as visual aids that reinforce basic concepts. For example, mini blocks can help students understand mathematical concepts in a more concrete way.
Then, the use of technology such as television can enrich students' learning experiences by providing interesting and informative audio-visual content. Television allows teachers to show educational videos that support the topic being taught, so that students can more easily understand the material through visualization. By combining these various sources and media, teachers can create an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere, thereby encouraging students' interest and motivation to learn more actively.
Authentic
assessments implemented at Future Integrated School include methods that
emphasize active student involvement in the learning process. One form of this
assessment is group discussions, where students can share ideas and understand
different perspectives on the material being studied. In addition, students
also work on assignments individually in their books, which are then corrected
and discussed together with teacher guidance. This approach not only assesses
students' overall understanding, but also encourages collaboration,
communication, and critical reflection, so that students can get constructive
and in-depth feedback on their performance.
